Also, women were not “created” for man’s enjoyment. I’m more than a object who’s sole purpose is to make babies and keep men happy.

For the record, if you have to start any sentiment with “I’m not homophobic/racist/sexist BUT” or something of that nature, you probably are one of those things. Being friends with one gay person does not automatically make you compassionate or tolerant.

Stop being a coward. Stand by your opinion if you think you’re so damn correct. If you’re against gay marriage, you’re probably going to be called a homophobe. That’s the way the world works. If you don’t want that to happen, keep your opinion to yourself.

I understand where this girl is coming from. 

To put it simply:
I have plenty of gay and bisexual friends (in fact about a quarter of my friends are gay/bisexual), but do not support gay marriage. To me, the bible establishes that marriage is a contract specifically between a man and a woman. This was His design.

But, I also don’t feel it is the government’s place to be involved. 

I know what this girl was trying to say, she just went about it wrong. There’s no reason to call anyone an idiot over their beliefs.
